Happy Halloweeeen

I know I'm late, but I suppose you're still interested, HA ;)

Halloween is the best and for some reason it doesn't seem all fake over here!! I already got all excited when we bought some skull shaped candy, spider webs, fake blood ect at Tesco Express in London, but by the time I had finally thought of a costume and then how to realise my plans I couldn't wait!!! The only hurdle I still had to take was going to a DIY market and find some wire, which didn't turn out to be as easy as I had expected it to be...well, I succeeded in the end and made 8 beautiful glittery spider legs, which are amazing!! I also managed to stick them onto myself, which I was quite proud of...

So the fancy dress problem was sorted and we only had to buy some booze for pre drinking at the F1s flat, easy! Since dressing up took longer than expected we just went to the petrol station and bought some vodka and orange juice, which turned out to be concentrate and the most horrid thing I ever had and which made me the cause of huge hilarity for not anticpating it to be the above, urgh! So nasty!

When we arrived at "ARUBA" which was announced to be "a huge shithole and a cattlemarket", it was really not as bad as expected...Yeah, there definetly were some hussies around, but you could see the ocean from the dancefloor, which completely made up for that!!
Unfortunately Karolin took off by herself after about 5 minutes and 3 Tequila, to personally enchant all the men at the party, so I was pretty much left by myself, nice! Well, I knew SOME people, but not that well PLUS I wasn't drunk enough, yet to think that was funny. But luckily I've got the best room mate ever, who, on his side has the lovliest girlfriend ever, who took me everywhere they went all night long and also as the night moved on, my alcohol level was rising, so I didn't mind very much anymore!

After all the party turned out to be loads of fun and everybody was really nice and quite pissed at the end of the night, especially Marc, who is Garwei's flatmate in Southampton and of whom I had heard quite a few storiesn already, but now the time had finally come for me to witness him live and completely in his element, which basically means, going MENTAL!! Throwing tea spoons out the window, chips and onions, Customising my kitchen cupboard with Garwei's green coloured hair spray, jumping around the kitchen bare bottomed etc, it was fun to watch, though!

getting our feet wet

Since the weather on Monday was just too nice to go back to work after lunch, we decided to skip the afternoon at the hospital and went to the beach instead. Nice, I definetly could get used to that!!
And because last weekend when we were walking back from Boscome to Bournemouth on the beach (heavily loaded with our newest purchases from Primark), we've decided to go surfing, we thought we should check the temperature first; just to be on the safe side. So we took our shoes off and got our feet wet, as for my part, trousers aswell! But it was sooo nice, I loved it (except for the part when I had to run about a mile back, because I had dropped one of my socks and had to save it before the tide would catch it)! Can't wait to go surfing now! I just hope it won't rain on the weekend and that we'll get some good waves!! I'm excited!!

can you see the ocean underneath my feet?!
my new peruvian wool hat, love it!
